UGC NET 2018 Exam on 8th July Important Instructions for Candidates

UGC NET 2018 Exam is going to be conducted on 8th July (Sunday). This Eligibility Test is organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and all candidates applied for the NET 2018 Exam must appear in the exam centre on 8th July. The admit cards for this test came out a week ago and the candidates must download the hall ticket for the exam from the official website-

Here, Some Important Instructions For Candidates:

  • Exam Pattern: The exam is designed with two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2). The paper 1 will have 50 questions and each question carries 2 marks. However, these questions are suitably designed to measure the aptitude and teaching aptitude of the candidates. Besides, the paper 2 includes 100 questions and each question is for 2 marks. However, there is no negative marking and all questions are compulsory.
  • Admit Card: Without the admit cards, the candidates are not allowed to enter into the exam hall. Remember, the admit card is necessary for both the papers (paper 1 and 2) of UGC NET.
  • Items strictly prohibited in the exam hall: Items like electronic devices, mobile phones, electronic watches, notepad, notebook and books are prohibited items in the exam hall. Besides, log tables and calculators are also not allowed for the UGC NET 2018 exam.
  • Reach location before the scheduled time: Candidates are advised to reach the Exam centres beforehand. The first exam will commence at 9:30 am and candidates must reach the examination centre by 7 am. However, the CBSE has issued and made the guidelines available online for the convenience of the candidates appearing for the NET exam this year.
