CBSE has opened the option of seeking re-evaluation of answers for Class XII and X exams 2018. Candidates having doubts about their marks can apply online for this process and it has already started with rechecking of answer sheets, from today. However, the result for 12th students was declared on May 26 and for 10th students, it was announced on May 29, 2018.

Consequently, the board has made the certificates of all 28 lakh candidates available online on DigiLocker on the same day after the result being declared. Besides, the safety features on the site will assist institutions and employers identify fake certificates.

However, re-evaluation includes a three step process and here; in the first step, the candidate has to apply for rechecking or verifying of the marks and then in the 2nd step, the candidate can ask for a photocopy of the answer sheet before being eligible for re-evaluation. This process would start from June 15, 2018 and it would be conducted completely online. In this regard, students seeking rechecking can apply and make payments online from June 1 to June 5 2018. However, the 3rd step is for requesting for the revaluation of the answer sheet. In this regard, “Rechecking/re-evaluation process and details for Classes X and XII CBSE examinations now available on CBSE web portal.” HRD secretary Anil Swarup tweeted.

However, for rechecking, an applicant will have to shell out Rs. 500/- per subject. The cost of getting the photocopy of an answer book is Rs. 700/- for Class XII and Rs. 500/- for Class X. Besides, for re-evaluation, applicants have to pay Rs. 100/- per question for both the classes. The details are available on cbse.nic.in.
Students applying for rechecking will get their results by June 14, 2018.

Thereafter, they can opt for a copy of the answer sheet on June 15 and 16, 2018. The copies will be sent by June 20, 2018 as per the declaration of the board. Candidates who opt for these two processes can apply for re-evaluation on June 21 and 22, 2018. However, processing charges will be received through Credit/Debit Cards/ Net banking till June 18, 2018. The application for re-evaluation will be entertained from June 21 to June 22, 2018.

Moreover, the board has not yet mentioned any last date for this process. In this regard, Anil Swarup said, “Re-evaluation will be completed at the earliest”. All students and parents are suggested to follow the entire process online. Any request for verification of marks or revaluation would not be accepted offline. Any application sent to the board’s office would be rejected.
