CBSE cancelled the UGC NET July 2018 exam as over 600 aspirants protested vigorously due to the delay in distribution of Paper II. The candidates alleged that Paper II was leaked in SP Convent School in Bamrauli, UP. Consequently, due to the aggressive approach of the protest, the board cancelled the second paper of the exam.

The aspirants asked the reasons behind the delay, but the invigilator and center superintendent had no answer to the questions. Later, the aspirants came out on the GT road and the indignant rush blocked the highway and was demanded for the exam cancellation.
