CBSE Announces Dates for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET): 16th September 2018

The CBSE has announced dates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018. The CTET 2018 examination will be conducted at 3:30 pm on 16 September 2018. The exam will be conducted in 92 cities across India. According to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be released on 12 June 2018 on www.ctet.nic.in the CTET official website. The notification will include the detailed syllabus, eligibility criteria, the exam pattern and other crucial information.
Interested applicants are advised to download the bulletin and read it carefully before applying online. CTET aspirants will be able to apply online through www.ctet.nic.in CTET website. The online application process will start from June 22. The last date for submitting online application is July 19. Applicants can submit the fee up to July 21 before 3.30pm.
The CTET exam has two papers. Paper I is for those interested in teaching classes 1 to 5. Paper II is for those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. In case a candidate wants to teach both levels, they will be required to sit for both paper I and II. All questions in the CTET test are multiple choice questions. There is no negative marking. However, Objective Multiple Choice Type of questions will be set for the eligibility test and the questions will be available in bilingual language (English and Hindi).

The candidates securing 60% and above marks will get an Eligibility Certificate. As per the extant reservation policy, the School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may give concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons and others.
Remember, the awarded CTET certificate will be validated for two years from the date of declaration of the result for all categories. There is no rule on the number of attempts a candidate can take for attaining a CTET Certificate. A CTET qualified person may also appear again in the test for improving his/her score.
